What else you should know

Different ways to establish connection:


The remote connection could be established on LAN, WiFi or over the Internet (Broadband, Cellular network, etc). Connect to other PC using the following methods:

  • Computer ID Connection: enter your partner's ID and password to access your partner's computer (no need to create online account). The easiest connection way!
  • Online Account Connection: log into your Anyplace Control account and access remote PC using the PC name.
  • IP-address Connection: classical method of connection via IP address.

    IP address is not used in first two connection methods. No need to configure router or firewall for remote PC control.

What and where to run:


Anyplace Control consists of two parts:

  • Host Module - needs to be executed on a remote computer (i.e. PC you will control remotely).
  • Admin Module - Run it on your local computer you use to control a remote PC (e.g. your notebook).

Usually installation is not required: you can download and start Anyplace Control in case of for one-time remote access session. Alternatively can install any module as a service for permanent use. Installed software will start with Windows automatically that is vital for accessing unattended server or a terminal.

This is a fantastic software. Not only does it work through corporate firewalls, if you go to the web site you can generate a link to send to another person for remote access their network.
