You've just installed Anyplace Control software, allowing you to remotely control a computer and transfer files via your LAN/the Internet.

Before connecting to the remote computer you'll have to install the Host Module onto the target PC. If this hasn't already been done, download the Host Module installation package to the Host PC and run it. Then return to the Admin PC.

How do I control the remote computer?

Online Account Connection Mode

This mode is designed for the connection to a remote computer over the Internet utilizing the secure https protocol. Using the Online Account Name and Nickname allows you to bypass all routers and firewalls securely without the need for a static IP address. Read more...

To connect to a Host PC, perform the following:

1. Start the Admin Module on your computer using the 'Start' menu or desktop shortcut
2. Select 'Online Account Connection' tab.
3. Enter your Online Account Name and Account Password (if requested)
4. Click the 'Refresh' button to load the list of online computers into the Address Book
5. Select the target PC from the Address Book and press 'Connect'
6. Enter the Access Password (if requested)
7. Click the 'Full Control' button and control the remote desktop with your mouse and keyboard from the Remote Screen window

Direct Connection mode.

This mode is designed for connection to a remote computer using the IP address or DNS name, and will require the successful configuration of parameters such as the static IP address and firewall and router settings. Read more...

To connect to the Host, perform the following:

1. Start the Admin Module on your computer using the 'Start' menu or desktop shortcut
2. Select 'Direct Connection' tab
3. Click on the 'Add New PC' button to add a new remote computer to the Address Book. Enter the remote IP address or click 'Browse' and select the target computer from your 'Network Places'
4. Select the target PC from the Address Book and press 'Connect'
5. Enter the Access Password (if requested)
6. Click the 'Full Control' button and control the remote desktop with your mouse and keyboard from the Remote Screen window
