I've used Anyplace Control for years and it is a great program. It's much easier and safer than UltraVNC and I like it better than LogMeIn. I use it to help out a friend who lives 250 miles away. We use the direct connection method rather than the "account method" so the information goes directly between our pc's and it's quite fast - plus no recurring charge.

Long story short - I spent countless hours with Microsoft trying to get VPN capability to our office network and then trying different ways to get Remote Desktop access (PCAnywhere etc...).

I found your software while browsing the internet and it is outstanding - here is how it works.

1) Setup the "Anyplace Control" on Windows 2000+ server. (1 Minute)
2) Setup the software on the users workstations. (1 minute per PC)
3) Use APPSEC to secure the server desktop, restrict access to all drives using MS security built in.
4) Remote Desktop Connection to the server and launch Anyplace Control.

This is a great solution for remote desktop access - it works through a Linksys RV042 VPN router firewall - thanks for your awesome software. I have rarely taken the time to complement a software company but this time I have to take the time to thank you as you have saved me countless hours and I have a very satisfied client.

I am not someone to write software companies at all, but I couldn't help myself: I've tried several other programs for Remote Administration, including Radmin and the program "VNC" as well as a couple of other unmentionables, and none even come close to AnyPlace Control...honestly, truly. I never expect to be able to install software and have it work...i expect to have to fight with defaults and preferences, to scour the manual for troubleshooting tips, or contact tech support and wait for some sort of reply. I had all my computers linked together in minutes, and it has been working flawlessly, with no apparent slowdown in my machines. Looking forward to any updates; I hope this product does as well as you deserve it to do...

Folks, this is a fantastic program. Not only does it work through corporate firewalls if you go to the web site you can generate a link to send to another person to remote control their machine. The free alternatives are not as robust in functionality. Check this out; don't rely on the comments of others.

Excellent! Thanks to Anyplace Control for this fantastic program. I have used "Go To My PC" and another program and neither of them are this easy to navigate. Easy and quick to install, self explanatory and detailed instructions make this program a must have for remote computing. I downloaded and had the programs on my host and admin computers, set it up and was accessing my 2nd pc within just a few minutes. I am thoroughly impressed!

Rather than commenting, I've downloaded this and it's a GREAT program! I've installed on my four PC's and my laptop. Nice to be to sit in a warm room and make sure all my PC's are update and have any installs done from one PC. I'd give this 5 stars for ease of use...no need to remember I.P numbers, just log in with Email address and a password, Then simply connect to the host and input it's password to connect... Love it for it's simplicity!

I have to admit, I am not one to usually leave comments about software I have bought. Having trialed countless remote software packages, all of which have served only to continuously frustrate me both from a security perspective and an operational point of view. I came across Anyplace Software by complete accident and having trialed the software and now bought it I have to say that for me it is without comparison. From the angle of price and more importantly remote functionality it has been brilliant. I have to say the developers needs a serious pat on the back.

Then I found Anyplace Control. The perfect solution for what I needed. Now I can connect to my home computer from work and the cost is a fraction of what some other programs or companies wanted. I have an 11 year old child and I have tried virtually all of the "child monitoring" software programs available. None of them compare to Anyplace Control. As a concerned parent, I simply can not stand behind my child and watch every second when my child is on the computer or internet. With Anyplace Control I can do EXACTLY that. I can view what my child is doing at all times and completely monitor all activity on the child's system (in REAL TIME) with just two keystrokes. Although I will not review the all the obvious dangers that lurk on the internet, I will say that this is probably the most valuable and important software I have ever installed. If you have children and are concerned about their computer/internet safety, you can not afford to be without this software.

I was pleasantly surprised with Anyplace Control. It performs fairly well and requires little to no hassle in setup; and the low price (when compared to competitors) makes it very attractive for businesses. I give it a thumbs up. It has next good features:
• Straight forward and easy to setup and use.
• Allows users can fully control remote PCs performing functions such as shutdown, restart, file transfer, clipboard transfer, lock keyboard, etc.
• Has a 'view-only' mode for users that only want to view the PC remotely and not control control.
• Users can connect via IP (WAN and LAN computers), or via an optional 'online account'.
• 'Host' modules can be installed remotely to LAN computer if necessary.

This software worked very well for me in a trial - I'm using Win7 64 and also VirtualXP on my desktop and Win 7 32 on the laptop - installed fine on all of these except that the free software restricts you to 2 host PC's unless you buy a subscription. It was a good and easy way to move files around my machines when I was having a problem with the router.

Awesome software! Thank you Anyplace Control Software. I have used ..... both free and pro. This is comparable in features ...

logged in easily, was able access a remote computer and preform file sharing. Logged in to a client's computer (via ....) and put it on thiers as well. Had no problem logging into that one either. This software solves that issue. Someone mentioned that it was slow earlier; .... is also slow, and you can't file share with the free version. Slow beats driving from NE Houston to SW Houston any day of the week!!! Thanks again

For some time I have been a faithful ..... subscriber, but with just a few minutes of play and research I have come to favor yours. Your host runs with little to no resources when not in use, and when in use the interface is faster and seems smoother. The ability to choose View or Control from both launch and interface, and the near instant switch, is what truly won me over tho. You have made an efficient piece of software, and I commend and thank you. Keep it up, I think I'll be sticking around.
