Loading Remote Screen

Postby oldright » 08 Apr 2010, 23:00

Hi,

Many times when I try to manage a remote PC i get the following dialog when trying to "Full Control" or "View" after a connection:

"Loading Remote Screen"

A progress bar keeps filling the dialog box, but the connection never occurs. I think I have solved this before by changing the colors from Auto to medium, but this doesn't always work because the setting somehow gets reset back to Auto. (and why do I need to do this anyway?). Is there some way I can force the connection with a color setting parameter? Any other way to resolve this? Thanks.

Which version of the software is used? Try to use the latest 4.13 version

Do you have any blocking software installed at your PCs?
Which connectivity mode is used?

version is 4.13
connection is direct.
no blocking software other than default windows stuff (windows firewall and spyware tools).
both host and admin are windows 7 x64.

this problem has existed for every version. it has always been fixed by changing the color settings from Auto to Medium. for some reason these settings are changing back to Auto and not sticking on medium.

the problem always occurs when connection to the host running media center in full screen. when the connection works i get a black screen, then i press Alt+Enter to minimize the media center application and the desktop is visible. if the color settings are remembered as Medium this connection always works. as far as i can tell, i can only change this color setting once a connection is made. is there a program launch parameter i can use that will force the connection to be color Medium? Why does the color setting cause this?

Thanks.
