Windows 8 thinks APC Admin is problem application

Installing APC on a new W8 machine ..

The host install works .. and most of the Admin install seems to work .. in fact you get an indication that it finished .. expect you were never asked for the serial # etc .. but you can see that there is a window requesting the serial # that is displayed for a very short period of time, then a W8 error message that takes over and indicates that APC admin is a problem piece of software and shuts down the installation.

What can be done to fix this??

Old versions (before 6.1) were incompatible with Windows 8.
New version 6.1 works with Windows 8.
