Anyplace - Distribution to all company desktops

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to distribute Anyplace via Group Policy/logon scripts to all machines in a corporate network? Adding machines individually using the remote module installation as users call our service desk is not acceptable.

Typically GPO's will require that the installer be a .MSI and would be the most ideal method of getting this distributed but it seems that the Anyplace installer is not packed in a .MSI format.

Any advise would be most appreciated.

To answer my own question in case anyone is interested - the solution is in the help file! Really need to start reading those...

Quote from anyplace help file:
Host module silent installation (for experts).

You can install Host Module silently (automatically, without any dialog messages) with predefined Access Password (via command line). This can be helpful for Host module centralized remote installation in the domain via Active Directory scripts. It can be also applicable for integration of our Host module with your software.

For example you want to install Host Module silently with password "123456".

Just enter in the command line:
AnyplaceControlInstall.exe /password=123456
Host Module will be installed silently.
Note: Host module Access Password must contain 6 characters or more

Hope that helps anyone in a similar position - I have tested the above method via a command line and it works fine.
