Gateway Proxy Service

The Gateway proxy service will not start. I have tried uninstall the software and reinstalling the software with no change
The error returned was Error 1053: The service did not respond to start or control in a timely fashion.
When reinstalling the software I did notice that the machine hardware ID had changed from 564196839 to 295433703.
Would this be the cause of the problem?

hardware ID changed. Installed new regkey and all is working
