Multiple Computers behind a router

I am currently a user of V3.6 and have 2 computers I am needing to access. 1 is a windows XP machine which V3.6 is perfect for however the other is a Win7 machine. I do know I will probably have to upgrade to the latest version to use this machine. However my question is a bit deeper.

I know I open ports 5279 and 4279 and forward them on the router to the specific IP I want to control, would setup another port to control the other computer on the network? Is there a specific port I should use? ie 5278 and 4278?

Sorry if the answer is stated somewhere else I just cant seem to find it.

We guess you really should update your current version of Anyplace Control to the latest version of our remote desktop control software as it is compatible with the latest versions of Windows.

We do not guarantee our 3.X version to work with Vista, 2008, 7.

No, you could use the same ports for all of your PCs.

I would think that I will have to upgrade, not to correct your but I see based on your version history there is support for Vista in V3.5.

of course my original question was about Windows 7 so I would definitely need to upgrade.


I do still have a question though, you say:

Then how would I route to the individual computers?

lets say, 1 router 2 computers. When I login using the ip address (externally - from the web) I would use say xx.xx.xx.xx as an ip in the pc propreties in the administrator console. Then the router would forward port 5279 to specific computer based on that request. ie 192.168.0.100. Now the 2nd computer is on ip 192.168.0.101, how would that be routed if I use the same ports on all of my PC's

Concerning several PCs connection:
We haven't clearly understood your scenario for the first time.

Yes, you should use different ports and perform port forwarding to access you different PCs.

We have to worn you - it is quite complicated procedure. As an alternative solution you may try our Account Connection service.

Sorry to have to ask that question here about port forwarding, I just couldn't find it in any FAQ, I guess I didn't look far enough.
