ANYPLACE CONTROL

I am setup for Direct Connection and I can connect fine through the router. The problem I have is that the connection seems laggy or sluggish. If I choose to open or close a drive or folder it takes 5 -7 seconds to occur. I am comparing this to windows Remote Desktop which seems instant. Any ideas why?
