Hi there I'm going to connect via direct IP going by instructions you need to forward the ports from the router to the LAN pc's like in your figure. My question is t work we have a Modem router then that connects to a 48 port router which then the computers are connected to. Do I need to forward the ports on the modem router to the 48 port router and then to the LAN?

You should configure your router to enable port forwarding if there is such option in router's control panel.
If there is no such option in your router - you should get either a new one that has it or to use Account Connection service.

We have provided you with an unimited direct connection free license, thus we assume it would be better for you to get a new router with port forwarding option than to pay an annual fee for Account Connection service.
